Test of truck on alternative fuel gas

Svensk Autotransport will start testing a truck carrier for finished vehicle logistics that runs on alternative fuel gas, liquefied biogas (LBG), or liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Behind the tow truck is the new trailer that Axess Logistics further developed together with Kässbohrer to have an improved load factor adapted to today´s heavier cars and with extra functions for a better working environment for the driver.
The truck carrier is stationed in Gothenburg and will mainly be used between the Volvo factory and the port of Wallhamn, as well as Gothenburg and the surrounding area. “It is gratifying that we use alternative fuels and learn from which fuels are best suited for our various distances. At the same time, we can significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions,” says haulage manager Pierre Alexén. The truck is a Volvo FH, 460 hp, and the trailer is a Kässbohrer Norlan SE (Swedish Edition).
